The Distress of Sleepless Hours

Restlessness can ensnare you like a vice during the night. Every noise becomes amplified, every shadow takes on a threatening form. We seek for an/a/some escape, a place/safety/shelter where the pain/suffering/anguish can fade/disappear/evaporate, but often/always/sometimes the darkness persists/holds tight/remains. It's in these moments of desperation that we must check here find/create/forge our own/internal/personal light/strength/will. We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the powerful spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

A Heavy Blanket of Insomnia

Insomnia can be a crushing weight upon your mind and body. You toss and turn, searching for sleep to come. The hours crawl by, each one an eternity filled with anxieties and disappointment. This pervasive state of wakefulness becomes a prisoner in your own bed.

Yearning for Sweet Oblivion

The clutch of oblivion was a siren's call, a searing promise of release. To fade in its depths was to quell the incessant cacophony of existence. The world's sharp edges blurred under the influence of its peace.

To truly desire oblivion was to plead for a passing respite from the burden of being.
